The Primordial Forest is where most new survivors get lost for the first time. The trunks muffle sounds, the wind barely reaches you and everything seems the same. This guide teaches, step by step, how to use the two most important tools in the game so you never feel disoriented again.
Start by stopping completely. Before pressing any key, listen to the environment for a few seconds. Identify where the sound of water comes from, which usually indicates a stream, and where the animal sounds come from. That first impression already helps you build a mental map.
Next, press the S key. The radar sweeps thirty meters around you and announces, from nearest to farthest, everything it found: trees that can be cut, stones, fruit, creatures and other players. Each item is announced with its direction, such as ahead, to the left or behind to the right, and with its approximate distance in meters.
When you decide where to go, use the G key to lock the target. From that moment on, a continuous sound pulse plays in the direction of the target. If the pulse is centered, you are heading the right way; if it is louder on one side, turn until it returns to the center. As you get closer, the pulse gets faster. With practice, this combination of radar and compass lets you cross the entire forest safely and quickly.
