During the High Tide, Castaways' Beach fills with chests, hulls and relics. It is the best event for new players, since the area is safe and the rewards are generous.

A colossal creature awakens on the Plateau of Howls and can only be defeated by coordinated groups of hunters.
During the Alpha Beast Hunt, a giant silver-furred wolf appears on the plateau accompanied by the largest pack ever seen on the Island. Its howl can be heard in any region of the map. The groups that manage to bring it down receive legendary hides and a permanent place on the Hall of Honor.

Once per season the cracked moon turns red and beasts become more aggressive across the whole Island.
On the Night of the Scarlet Moon, nocturnal creatures gain strength and speed, but they also drop rare materials. The Island's entire soundscape changes: the howls grow deeper, the insects fall silent and a constant hum hangs in the air.
