The Day the Sky Split: The Story of The Collision and the Awakening of the Survivors
The founding chronicle of The Collision world: how two celestial bodies collided, how the Island was born and why you wake up alone on the beach.

No one knows for sure how long the silence lasted before the impact. The few who survived say that on the last night of the old world the sky grew strangely quiet. The birds stopped singing, the dogs stopped barking and even the sea seemed to hold its breath. Then came the sound.
First a deep hum, almost imperceptible, that made your bones vibrate. Then a growing roar, as if the firmament itself were being torn from one horizon to the other. Two celestial bodies, coming from opposite directions of space, met exactly above the primordial ocean. The collision released an energy that no human instrument had ever measured.
The shockwave spread in concentric circles, like the ripples of a stone thrown into a lake, but with enough force to sweep away entire continents. Cities vanished, mountains crumbled and the oceans boiled for days. When the dust finally settled, only one piece of solid ground remained: a newborn island, raised from the seabed by the fury of the impact, with a still-glowing volcano at its center.
You are one of the rare survivors. You wake up on the wet sand of Castaways' Beach, not knowing how you got there, your eyes unable to make out any shape in the permanent darkness that has taken over the sky. But your ears work, and they work better than ever. You hear the waves, the wind, the creaking wreckage and, far away, something that sounds like a howl.
This is how your story in The Collision begins. Among the survivors runs a legend about the Messiah, a figure said to have foreseen the collision and left signs scattered across the Island to guide those who remained. Finding those signs, surviving the beasts and rebuilding a community among the ruins is the path each player chooses to walk in their own way.
